Plasmas

Before I say anything else, let me just throw it out there - I am by far a fan of plasmas over LCDs and I really don’t know one good reason why someone would prefer an LCD over a plasma unless you like spending more money for crappier products.

But as most plasma fans know, the creme de la creme when it comes to plasmas (outside of  crazy expensive “non-market” models) is the Pioneer Elite. Well, apparently we will no longer have to torture ourselves by looking at these beautiful displays, as Pioneer is shutting down their TV business.

Pannys for life!

P.S. - Just finished reading the article and apparently LCDs are available with a larger screen size than plasmas. Awesome! Now we get to see twice as much shitty picture at 5 times the cost! Sign me up!

Why the heck would you approve those last 9 posts. Those dudes are trying to advertise their crap in your blog. Douches. NE ways plasmas used to be a bad deal. a good 40"ish pioneer elite would cost 4-5K$. Then people quit buying them because they new they would have 4-5K$ worth of scrap metal after 5,000-7,000 hours of viewing time. Plus before the screen totally craps out you loose brightness over the years. But now that the same type of TV's costs 500-1,000$ it is a decent deal just because of the picture quality you get with the plasmas. Blacks are blacker, colors pop etc.. I believe LCD's are becoming worse and worse of a deal. The only reason i have two is because one serves as a computer monitor and the other is small and flat so it makes a good TV for the bedroom. But as far as living room or game room get yourself a nice DLP/Lcos/or cheap Plasma.
